As soon as I am satisfied, I will deliver the profile to Lensfun. We’re proud to announce the new feature release of darktable, 3.4.0!Īs always, please don’t use the autogenerated tarball provided by Since I'm currently playing with the generation of a specific lens correction profile (see here, ), I manually pasted my current experimental profile for the Laowa 9/5.6 FF lens on APS-C into the misc.xml file that is part of the content of version_1. Now I opened darktable - and I'm good to go! Before I had renamed the old version_1 into something. I pasted it into /usr/share/lensfun/ (admin rights needed). So I went there with the console and copied that folder. It is by default downloaded to /home//.local/share/lensfun/updates which is not the place to be. But unfortunately, it is in the wrong location. Now, there is a new folder version_1 that contains all the latest xml files with the profiles. Then I opened a terminal in the respective folder and did again What I did is I downloaded the following executable file. So I wanted to try the lensfun‑update-data command.īut the command was not found. Thanks to the system upgrades, my Lensfun database was set back to some previous version :/ so I had to update my Lensfun database. This brought also the rest and then the darktable installation was flawless. So I installed libgmic1 (search for HowToInstall/UbuntuPackage/libgmic1) Pkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of darktable:ĭarktable depends on libportmidi0 however:ĭarktable depends on fonts-roboto however: Then I was able to do what I actually wanted to do: install the latest version of darktable, 4.4.1. What shall I say - it took about 2 hrs and went totally flawless I eventually took all my courage and updated my Linux Mint system from 20.3 to 21 and then from 21 to 21.2.
